In a report from the Tennessean, Atria Books will be publishing Brown's book, Free Cyntoia: My Search for Redemption in the American Prison System. Atria is a division of publishing giant Simon & Schuster. In a news release about its deal to publish Brown's memoir, Atria revealed she wed in prison and "looks forward to starting her life as a recently married woman." The release also refers to Brown as "Cyntoia Brown-Long."

Yona Deshommes, associate director of publicity for Atria, confirmed the marriage but did not provide details on when or whom Brown wed.

"For the first time ever, Cyntoia shares the details of her transformation, including a profound encounter with God, an unlikely romance, and an unprecedented outpouring of support from social media advocates and A-list celebrities which ultimately lead to clemency and her release from prison," the release reads.

The release also describes the memoir as a "coming-of-age memoir set against the shocking backdrop of a life behind bars," and is based on her writings in prison during 15 years of incarceration.

Free Cyntoia is scheduled to be published on October 15 and will be priced at $26.

Brown, who served 15 years of a life sentence for killing a child predator who paid her for sex, walked out of the Tennessee Prison for Women on Wednesday, August 7th, according to the state’s Department of Corrections. She is 31 years old. Brown will be under supervised parole until 2029.
