Why I Vote: Vic Mensa
Yeah, so if you just finished watching the Presidential Debate as I did, one thing should be apparently clear WE ALL MUST VOTE. Maybe this time around it’s not because you feel strongly about supporting a particular candidate, but more so to ensure that a particular candidate doesn’t win.
To coincide with the first debate, Vevo has launched a new original series, Why I Vote. The inaugural episode features Chicago emcee Vic Mensa. In the clip, Mensa speaks on issues with police brutality in his hometown of Chicago. He speaks specifically on the killing of Laquan McDonald by Chicago Police and how he wants to make change by opening up dialogue with politicians on how to improve conditions in the Windy City. One of the most important things Mensa discusses in this clip is the power of voting at the local level in order to directly affect change in your area. Watch the clip below, and make sure your voice is heard come November.
