Willis Earl Beal- "Babble On" + "Coriander Tree Life"
To help commemorate Veteran's Day, Chicago born ex-soldier Willis Earl Beal has dropped "Babble On" and "Coriander Tree Life", some unreleased treats for us to chew on that were “Recorded and produced by Nobody at Nowhere during Never.” The rich baritone recently released his sophomore LP Nobody knows , an album that struts his deeply earthy folk treatments and brilliantly immersive narratives in a clear nod to both our blues and folk traditions (Dylan and Guthrie would be proud.) With "Babble On", Beal doubles down on the vocals over a distinctively bluesy guitar that draws you into a lush delta soundscape. Then comes "Coriander Tree Life", where Beal puts his hallmark full-toned croon over a rather haunting bedrock of synths and electric organs. While we don't know whether these tracks were recorded for the Nobody knows LP, we are sure that these omissions deserve your full attention. Enjoy Beal's wholly visceral blues below.
