The heiress to The Smith Entertainment Empire, despite her age, has been delivering shockingly deep rhythm&melancholy joints over the months, culminating in the release of a three-track EP, aptly titled III. Free of her brother's contribution, young Smith hits us with a trio of silky and synth-heavy, boom-bap-touched (but not defined) cuts that show an immense talent for constructing catchy hooks with wise-beyond-beyond-her-years anecdotes on love and loss and even a few lines about getting smoothies with friends. Let's not forget that as mature as the records have been sounding, Willow is an astonishing (just-turned) 14-years-old. And there's always a little room for smoothies in the life of a barely adolescent.
