Willow Smith Charms In A Visual For Her New Radio-Ready Single "Why Don't You Cry"
With each and every vibrant video, Willow Smith has surely been making 2015 hers. Today she's continuing her visual legacy with a darker aesthetic, juxtaposing her most pop-ish tune to date with a narrative of adolescent angst in a video for her latest single "Why Don't You Cry." A robust synth line carries the tune, as the youngest Smith belts out her distinctive, airy vox, dancing unfettered to her own, radio-ready tune. Biggest bro, Trey Smith backs the heiress to Bel Air on the ones and twos, marking what may be his first video appearance since starring in the touching treatment for Big Willy's '97 smash "Just The Two Of Us." Willow offered the statement below to ID, who premiered the video:
"If it wasn't for my parents, I wouldn't have learned that becoming still and traveling within is the only thing that really matters. You can try and point the finger at everybody else as much as you want, but the only reason you're feeling the way you're feeling about something that somebody else is doing is because of the way that you're perceiving it, and that has everything to do with your conditioning and the way you've been raised."
