SpaceGhostPurrp has gone from willingly dilettantish mixtape recordings in the vein of early Three 6 Mafia to landing a deal with indie-powerhouse 4AD (St. Vincent, tUnE-yArDs, etc.), having his album stream exclusively at Rolling Stone, crafting a unique sound that is as gloomy as it is trill, working in the occasional 5% reference, and establishing a cult following of anti-hypebeastism. His official debut LP, Chronicles of SpaceGhostPurrp: Mysterious Phonk, drops tomorrow and Purrp is throwing a record release show at SOB's to celebrate the occasion (full event details after the jump).
