Your Old Droog Gets Bluesy On New Single "Senseless Killin' II"
While we were all kicking back over the weekend, it appears that Your Old Droog was putting in extra work. The Ukrainian/Brooklynite MC has just shared "Senseless Killin II," an especially relaxed new track that features very bluesy production from his frequent collaborator DJ Skizz. It's a track loaded with boasts, toasts and more than enough one liners to keep you rewinding back over and over again--yes, Droog really did just say that.
Your Old Droog is getting set to embark upon a new European tour, which will see him touching down in England, Belgium, France and many more continental nations. As he shared "Senseless Killin' II" he had this to say about it all:
"Before I head out across the pond for The #EuroDROOG Tour, I'm dropping this joint produced by my man, DJ Skizz, that showcases my famed yet underutilized 'George Benson from Remulak' impression—it's basically me scatting and rhyming along with the different sounds in the beat. (Peep the Kid 'N' Play reference in the song, too). If you're in London, come check out the virtuosity live in the flesh on June 8 at the Jazz Cafe (hence the jazzy joint). Bring tea for the Republican Teaparty National Convention! Cop the Your Old Droog LP and Kinison EP on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon and all that shit, and check for the Kinison EP on vinyl from July 10 too."
Much smoother and, dare we say, softer than his previous loosie "Unlimited Metro Card," Your Old Droog's latest gives off the vibe of a classic basement jam session, with Skizz playing three instruments at once while he spits what's on his mind, off the cuff.
