Report: LeBron James is Open to Taking a Meeting With The Golden State Warriors

Imagine if the greatest NBA team of this era added LeBron James?

It's no secret that Clevland Cavaliers forward LeBron James might decline his $35.6 million player option and become an unrestricted free agent. The question remains: where would LeBron go this time?

Even though there is a chance he would stay with the Cavs, most think James will go to the Los Angeles Lakers. But there might be another option. According to ESPN's sources, LeBron would consider taking a meeting with the champion Golden State Warriors, if the organization would be able to clear up enough cap room for an additional max deal.

According to ESPN, LeBron is attracted to "the Warriors' strong organizational structure and the prospect of more championships." If LeBron joined the Warriors a championship would almost be a guarantee: with James joining a team that already has Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

However, it would be unlikely that all five players would be on the team, considering that LeBron is going to want a max deal and there is a salary cap in the NBA.  However, according to ESPN writer Kevin Pelton, one scenario that would work would be a sign and trade deal that would include Thompson and Andre Iguodala.

The team would also need Durant to take a pay cut from his $25 million salary.
