As you know, it’s Friday again ( TGIF). We’re here yet again with a few handpicked videos that peaked our attention this week. The top of the crop was Lizzo and Cardi B’s imaginative clip for their collaboration “Rumors.” Throughout the visual, both artists take center stage. Lizzo leans into her pop inclinations heavily while Cardi displays why she’s one of the reigning hip-hop queens of the moment. Aesthetically, the video which centers around a "Greek Renaissance" theme is on point.
Next, there’s Isaiah Rashad who’s still proving that he’s not slowing down anytime soon. For his “From The Garden” visual, viewers relive an evening with the Chattanooga, Tennessee-bred rapper. It’s trippy but it’s also provocative since it perfectly matches the energy of the single. Lil Uzi Vert surprisingly makes an appearance in it too.
Monaleo is continuing her run right now, “Suck It Up,” her newest single is proof of that. The freestyle is energetic and for the accompanying clip, she’s riding through Houston with a friend while unleashing her thoughts on a recent ex-boyfriend. It’s the perfect follow-up to her viral track “Beating Down Yo Block.” We’re hoping she keeps serving up feminist summer anthems.
EST Gee’s latest single “5500 Degrees” features some assistance from Lil Baby, 42 Dugg and Rilo Rodriguez. The track isn’t new, but the clip is. Yes, the cut samples Juvenile’s “400 Degreez.” The energy wreaking from the video was enough for it to find itself on our weekly list.
