Best R&B Videos To Drop Last Week: SZA, Chlöe, Ashanti & More

Last week arrivals from Ashanti, SZA, RINI, and more caught our attention.

Ashanti is back with "Falling For You," her newest single.

SZA drops off a video for "Shirt" starring LaKeith Stanfield.

And Chlöe releases "For The Night."

Ashanti – “Falling For You”

After going nearly a year without releasing new music, Ashanti returns with "Falling For You." Jet Phynx directs the visual which features the singer attempting to figure out why she's smitten by someone. In some moments she lets her guard down and enjoys the time she's spending with her beau, but in other scenes, it's the direct opposite. She's on a journey figuring things out so she ends up going to get a tarot reading that tells her everything she needs to know.

SZA – “Shirt”

Though SZA's "Shirt" arrives two years after it was first teased it's still a brilliant song that touches on an unrequited love that flips your world upside down. No matter the attention SZA gives LaKeith Stanfield in the Dave Meyer-directed clip, he still chooses himself multiple times. Also, even though they appear to be an updated Bonnie and Clyde, things are still iffy for SZA in the visual. She redeems herself by previewing another song that could appear alongside "Shirt" on her forthcoming follow-up to Ctrl.

Chlöe, Latto – “For The Night”

Co-directed by Chlöe and Shermay Joh, Chlöe's "For The Night" is a breath of fresh air, it's a sultry R&B song. The visual covers the realities of someone giving the singer the runaround, she manages to keep her composure for the entire clip. Latto joins her at the midway point of the video and tells her to tighten up. This single could point to the release of Chlöe's debut album, or at least we hope it does.

RINI – “Haunt Me”

RINI revealed his seductive single "Haunt Me" last week. Accompanied by a video, the song covers the ups and downs of a romantic relationship, most recently he captured that feeling extremely well on his last project Constellations. This new video marks the upcoming release of a new EP, UltraViolet.
