Brent Faiyaz and Jorja Smith Recreate A '90s Chat Line for "Nobody But You" Video
Brent Faiyaz and Jorja Smith connect for an acoustic gem.
On Friday, Jorja Smith and Sonder (the group of singer Brent Faiyaz and producers Dpat and Atu) released the hotline-inspired video for "Nobody But You." The track is their first as a group in two years. Watch the lyric video below.
The lyric video features a "nite line for lovers only." When you call the number given (1-323-310-0671), you're greeted with a preview of what's assumedly a future collaboration between Faiyaz and the production duo. Give the number a dial and hear for yourself.
The two singers are fresh off new releases. In mid-March, Brent released "Show U Off," and before that, he released "Gravity," a collaboration with Tyler, the Creator for his partnership with Adidas and their Songs from Scratch series. Around the same time, Jorja Smith released the video for her new single "Addicted."
At the time of its release, Smith called "Addicted" a song about "focusing on wanting the full attention of someone who’s not giving enough (or any) when they should be. The video is multiple versions of me singing the song, having fun dressing up, not trying to be too serious and just giving myself more freedom.”
On Thursday, Sonder released the single "Too Late to Die Young." The video is 13 minutes long, following Faiyaz and company through a hazy night in Atlanta.
Find "Nobody But You" on all major digital streaming platforms. Stay tuned for further updates on a potential full-length Sonder or Brent Faiyaz project.
