"It Was Kind Of Insane Man": Hannibal Buress Speaks On Bill Cosby's Rape Conviction
After remaining mum on Bill Cosby's recent sentencing for sexual assault, Hannibal Buress has finally spoken on the Cosby's case as well as the joke he told that reignited interest in the sexual assault allegations against The Bill Cosby Show creator.

"You were the one who really got the media storm going and getting people interested and learning more about Bill Cosby's rape accusations. Once Bill Cosby was found guilty recently what was going through your mind?" Mike Muse, a guest commentator on Sway In the Morning, asked Buress.
"It was kind of insane man...when you're doing a stand-up bit you don't really expect that kind of result from it."
"If you never did that do you still feel that all of this would've happened?" Sway co-host added.
"I don't know man, that's not something you can really say," the comedian replied.
The joke that Buress is referring to was back in 2014. Buress was performing at Philadelphia's Trocadero when he criticized Cosby for always talking down to young black men about their dress choices.
"Yeah, but you raped women, Bill Cosby, so that kind of brings you down a couple notches," the comedian said. After the joke divided some of the audience, Buress encouraged attendees to search "Bill Cosby rape" when they got home. Even though Buress had been performing that bit for the past six months, it ended up gaining traction during this performance because it was recorded.
Cosby was convicted of drugging and raping Temple University employee Andrea Constand at his Pennsylvania home in 2004.
