Watch Joey Badass' Poignant New Video for "Land of the Free"
New sound and sights have been few and far between from Joey Bada$$ in the last few months. Sure there was his Narcos-inspired single "Front & Center" a few months back, but nothing that matched the exhilarating crossover smash, "Devastated."
Last week, the Bed Stuy bomber announced his sophomore full-length album, ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$, would be arriving this spring. Today the album's new single, "Land of the Free," is fit to a characteristically poignant video, finding Badmon between heaven and hell, as he mulls his celebrity privilege, police brutality and the new presidential regime, all with an American flag forged out of bandanas in-hand. The track itself, bears a striking resemblance to another Bed Stuy legend's empowering anthem, still cherished and used as a litmus against culture vulture-ism.
Watch the powerful video for Joey Badass' new single below and pre-order your copy of ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$ on iTunes today ahead of its April 7th release. Badass will also reprise his role in the upcoming third season of Mr. Robot, though details on that are still slim. Keep an eye on us for his next transmission in the weeks ahead.
