For his first piece since 2015's critically-lauded The Epic, Kamasi Washington lent "Truth" to The Whitney's biennial celebration. The tranquil 37-minute, six-movement composition is accompanied by images from his sister, Amani Washington, in its full display at the museum, but has now been liberated in a 14-minute short film, directed by A.G. Rojas. "Truth" will appear on Washington's forthcoming EP, Harmony of Difference, slated to arrive this summer, according to The FADER.
