Titled "Lover Chanting," the music video begins with a little girl uploading a game that's named after the song. Playing as an elf-looking warrior, she ventures through a mystical place and runs into the members of Little Dragon along the way, ultimately leading up to an epic dance-off with Yukimi Nagano.
The video was shot at Allington Castle in Kent, England and directed by Jack Whitely.
"We felt there were some strong parallels to draw between the late-70s disco scene and the world of online role play gaming. Two worlds worshipped for freedom of expression, pure escapism and the ability to redesign yourself in any way you want," Whitely said. "This is our attempt at creating a hybrid between those two worlds – a surreal online gaming environment and a heated 70s disco dance-off!"
"Lover Chanting" comes from the group's upcoming three-track EP The Lover Chanting. The EP was self-produced by the band in their Gothenburg studio. It's set for release digitally on November 9, with a special 12” black vinyl release set to drop on November 16, both via Ninja Tune.
