Singer Tiffany Gouche stars alongside the TDE signee in his newest visual.
After spending quite a few months out of the spotlight, SiR unveils the music video to “You Can’t Save Me” off his 2019 album Chasing Summer.
In the riveting visual SiR stars alongside R&B singer Tiffany Gouche as they fight for the attention and affection of a love interest. Gouche who doesn’t get to flex her stunning vocals play the third wheel or an afterthought in the TDE signee’s peripheral.
Throughout the entire video, the ups and downs of a relationship are shown over and over. Cheating, lies and a blow-up between SiR and Gouche. This led to a separation that probably should have taken place months beforehand.
The release of SiR's new video gives us a moment to mention that the Academy snubbed SiR by not nominating the project or any of the tracks on it for a Grammy. The album was a breezy, easygoing listen filled with plenty of cuts worthy of more attention. Grammy nominees in the R&B categories with sounds similar to SiR included BJ the Chicago Kid, Lucky Daye, and PJ Morton.
So, basically, the Academy left the Los Angeles-based singer in the dust when it rolled out nominations. Last September, the TDE artist dropped the visual for “That’s Why I Love You” featuring Sabrina Claudio, another single off the previously mentioned album. The video for “Hair Down” with Kendrick Lamar premiered last August. Since we’re all stuck in the house, right now is the perfect time to revisit Chasing Summer, it’s arguably one of our favorite releases of 2019.
