Watch Thundercat Shoot His Shot at Quinta Brunson, Kali Uchis in the "Dragonball Durag" Video
It Is What It Is arrives on April 3.
On Thursday afternoon, Thundercat premiered the video for "Dragonball Durag," a track as silly as it is funky. The song is the second single from his upcoming album, It Is What It Is.
In the video, the Grammy Award-winning guitarist attempts to serenade actress/writer Quinta Brunson, Kali Uchis, and HAIM. Unfortunately for him, the durag and dance moves weren't quite enough.

“This album is about love, loss, life and the ups and downs that come with that,” he said previously in a press release. “It’s a bit tongue-in-cheek, but at different points in life, you come across places that you don’t necessarily understand… some things just aren’t meant to be understood.”
Previously, Thundercat released "Black Qualls," featuring Steve Lacy and Steve Arrington. The album version of the track will feature contributions from Childish Gambino. Other features include Ty Dolla $ign, Lil B, Louis Cole, and Zack Fox. Vinyl copies are available for preorder on Thundercat's Bandcamp profile page.

It Is What It Is will be his fourth studio album. 2017's Drunk peaked at number 50 on the Billboard 200 chart. Prior to its release, Thundercat won a Grammy award for his contributions to Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly. Additionally, he worked with Flying Lotus for his latest album, Flamagra.
"Dragonball Durag" is available for stream and download on all major streaming platforms.
