Watch Tupac Talk About His Family, Baltimore Upbringing & More in Newly Released Full Version of Iconic MTV Interview
The interview occurred on October 27, 1995, just two weeks after he was released from prison.
September 13th was the 23 year anniversary of Tupac's death. For the occasion, MTV went into their vaults and released the full version of an interview MTV News did with the rapper on October 27, 1995.
Clips of the interview were released. And you can find portions of it on YouTube. But this is the first time the entire interview has been released.
The interview is an interesting relic. It occurred just two weeks after he was released from prison — after serving nine months in Clinton Correctional Facility on sexual-assault charges.
During the interview, Tupac is talking with journalist Tabitha Soren as they walked down Venice Beach in California. During the 20 minute conversation, Pac gets personal: talking about his Baltimore upbringing, his relationship with his mother and father, starting a community center with Mike Tyson, and more.
