With the North American leg of their tour out of the way, Tuxedo (better known as the boogie-blessed pairing of Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One) has been enjoying a well-earned break from the road.
Now, as they ready themselves to embark on a short run of live dates overseas (listed below,) Hawthorne and Uno are giving fans a morsel of what fans may have missed. Today, NPR has relinquished a new installment of their consistently-proper Tiny Desk Concert series, supported by the young queen of vintage funk, Gavin Turek, and two members from their full ensemble on keys (Sam Wish) and guitar (Christian Wunderlich.)
The three song set includes their debut single "Do It" as well as two numbers from their sequel project, "Second Time Around" and "July" (naturally.) You can watch the full performance down below, just be sure to pick up a copy of Tuxedo II on iTunes today.
Tour Dates:
Aug 11 @ We The Fest - Jakarta, Indonesia
Aug 16-17 @ Billboard Live Tokyo - Tokyo, Japan
Aug 19 @ Summer Sonic - Tokyo, Japan
Aug 22 @ Billboard Live Osaka - Osaka, Japan
Aug 23 @ SRP5 Studio Ramkhamhaeng - Bangkok, Thailand
