Kodak Black Compares XXXTentacion to Malcolm X on New Album 'Dying to Live'
Don't worry, this year is almost over.
Controversial rapper Kodak Black compared the late, controversial rapper XXXTentacion to Malcolm X on a track off his new, sophomore album, Dying to Live.
On the Major Nine-produced track "Malcolm X.X.X," the Florida rapper attempts to address gun violence and racism and includes a set of lyrics addressing XXXTentacion, who was fatally shot over the summer.

The lyrics read:
X was tryna buy a bike and he got gunned down.X was tryna change his life, but he got burned down.
X wasn't ridin' with no pipe so he got gunned down.
Listen, do as I say, don't do as I do,
Nine out of ten, it ain't gon' end up lookin' good for you
The song features and old audio clip of Malcolm X, who was fatally shot, and also a staunch advocate of black self-defense saying, "I have never at any time been guilty of initiating any aggressive acts of violence during the entire 33 years or more that the honorable Elijah Muhammad has been teaching us."
Both Kodak Black and XXXTentacion have been accused of assault against women.
Prior to his death, XXXTentacion had been awaiting trial for a 2016 domestic abuse case involving his ex-girlfriend in which he was charged by the Miami-Dade County state attorney’s office with aggravated battery of a pregnant victim, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness tampering. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. An audio recording later revealed the rapper admitting to domestic abuse and other violent crimes.
Kodak Black was charged with sexual battery after allegedly raping and assaulting a teenaged girl in South Carolina in 2016. The trial for this case is slated for April 2019. He can face up to 30 years in prison if convicted on the criminal sexual conduct charge.
Black released his album on Thursday night, with guest appearances by Travis Scott, Juice WRLD, Offset, and Lil Pump.
